A Sister Story
Posted - Tuesday, April 27, 2010I turn around only to see Maurice laughing and running
I remember when Maurice was about 4 or 5 years old. He didn't talk much then, but being in my teens I really didn't pay much attention because I was in my own little world. One summer afternoon, Mom had given Maurice a bath and apparently didn't have his change of clothes in hand when she was toweling him dry. She opened the bathroom door and Maurice darted out and began running around the house in the buff. Since it was such a nice day out, we opened the door to let the sunlight in through our screen door. I was sitting on the steps with my girlfriends, Arie and Serena. All of the sudden they burst into laughter and were pointing behind me. I turn around only to see Maurice laughing and running (in the buff) from Mom as she tried to catch him and clothe him. His little derriere was dancing through the front door for all to see. I tried to block my friends view, but it made them laugh even harder. I laugh about it now, but as a teen I was totally embarrassed.
